Much literature on the subject found in English - something logical peter ramm given the British origin of the distillate. Unfortunately there is still no Catalan book on the subject, although we can find some titles in Spanish.
Perhaps the most important writer on whiskey (and beer) was Michael Jackson. This author published several reference works that have been translated into more than fifteen languages.

Titles in Spanish: Michael Jackson: Whisky of Malta. A book with many tasting notes and ratings of each malt distilleries in Scotland. This book (in English The Malt Whisky Companion) is a classic to start the tasting of Scotch whiskeys. They published five versions in English and before this last, published after the writer's death, was updated peter ramm by experts such as Dominic Roskrow Gavin D. Smith and William C. Meyers. Michael Jackson: Illustrated Atlas of Whisky. A complete guide very didactic and visual on the world of whiskey. Here you will find chapters on process of distillation, wine regions and the various whiskey peter ramm distilleries in Scotland. We can also read chapters devoted to other areas of production such as Ireland, Canada, the United States or Japan. Dominic Roskrow: The Best Whiskeys of the World. Another comprehensive guide and recommended. In some aspects, such as the production of whiskey is less detailed peter ramm and specific than the Atlas of Jackson, peter ramm but otherwise has many tasting notes.
