When Africa is the adventure over and we underwent so much, everything from canoeing, wine tasting, safari by car, on foot and by air. We had a wonderful trip and here is a brief summation from a 24 day trip through South Africa, Namibia, Botswana adria 1002 and Zimbabwe, where we have run over 700 mil from Cape Town to Johannesburg via Victoria Falls.
Day 3 and 4 Out on the road with our fantastic truck for a couple of hours not proved to be just as amazing. The day was used to drive up to camp near Springbok as soon as we got to experience that we might be familiar with, at least Spar shop. After sleeping for a night out in the tent we had the Springbok and repair starters on the truck. It would take two hours, but took 2 hrs African, namely 5 There was a lot hanging in front of the store, but it was an experience that too. We also got to experience how it is to be transported on African show, 15 pcs into a regular pick up. On the road again and ready to run into Namibia. We encounter problems at the border when our guide did work visa, Namibia had not managed to get to yet, TIA (this is Africa) With the gang safely inside Namibia was set a course towards the camp that turned adria 1002 out to be a resort. Pool, shower, toilet adria 1002 and everything you can imagine. This evening there was a barbecue on the menu and the night brought forth the most amazing stars. We slept under the open sky and it's lovely and warm. Today has been spent on the Orange River. We have pandlet canoe and cost us. Really just enjoyed life and the fact that we have not been sitting in a car. And we did enjoy enough one day under the open sky.
Day 5 to 10: After a pretty quick day in the car we came to the Fish River Canyon where we would sleep one night. There we relaxed, part of the second adria 1002 truck was stolen all the cheese when baboons came to visit and then later sit there without bread. The dinner was cooked on the edge of the canyon to a beautiful sunset. Enough one night was spent under the stars. After the car was packed and all were ready went onward journey to Drifters desert camp, it was the company we are traveling with their own land, with a lot of cool scenery and many animals, especially goats cream, springbok and ostriches. Sean who lived and ran the site took us on a 2 hour drive around the reserve and showed adria 1002 and told us about the different plants and animals, strap ends! The camp was also incredibly cool, with toilet and shower under the open sky and a wonderful beliggnhet between mountains. From desert camp we also had an excursion to Sossusvlei desert and there, an incredibly special desert where there are large sand dunes straight up from the ground, Namibia actually has the world's highest sand dunes, some of them were over 400 feet. Sossusvlei is an expression of when the dunes grow together and barriers for the underground river, very special to see places where it was soon blocked. adria 1002 After many hours in the desert, both hike up a dune and out in the desert tasted very good with a buffet kl.13 in the shade of a tree. And those who know Nina know it's a long time to go without food when you are awakened at. 04 in the morning! We also bounced back a mini canyon, most of that our driver wanted some sleep we think, before we headed back to camp. We have become so fond of the starry sky and uses every opportunity we have to sleep during the two nights were spent in a sleeping bag and with the sky as a ceiling. Day nine was going on in the truck. After a walk in the morning at camp we put ourselves in the truck and drove to Swakopmund. I (Nina) have found that if there is talk about to be reborn as something else is not screwdriver in a metal toolbox highest desire, after trying it on the bumpy roads of Namibia 120 km / h After 8 hours on gravel roads and a driver who does not take very much into account one feels quite dizzy when you go out. The evening brought springbok, kudu and oryx on the menu, which appealed. There was a round of town with pool games and lots of fun. Having had a lot on the program each day was delicious with a day to ourselves in Swakopmund. Jennie and I had the company of Sonja, Hilde and Kristine. It was slow motion through the city, lunch on the beach before we moved back to Drifters Inn for a barbecue. The body was good for two nights bed and a shower adria 1002 or two.
Day 11 and 12 Tuesday morning we went on, with Spitskopf as final destination. On the way we drove through Cape Cross where we saw seals. It was a seal colony with 250,000 seals. adria 1002 Having smelled a little of both dead and alive seals and selbæsj mixed with air in, we drove a short trip to the camp. The most primitive now, but still very nice. Doen was a Murror who worked as it should. We spent the day by taking a little excursion up the mountain where we got to see the bushman painting on rock walls. The feeding habits are different between us and the guide participants, while all the tourists are in the fetal position because of food shortages flying guide around and takes his time with the food. He is very bad at multitasking as vegetables and everything is fo
